At AMA Artist Makeup Academy, we offer 6 different courses: Express Beauty (50 hours), Beauty Campaign Development (50 hours), Bridal Education (50 hours), Editorial Education (50 hours), Celebrity Pro (100 hours), and Bridal Pro (50 hours). Each course is meant to focus on different makeup looks and each will have their own business day.
Our courses are bundled up to make a program. Please see a list of our programs and the courses included in each below:
  • Intro Program (100 hours): includes Express Beauty and 1 additional course of choice (between Beauty Campaign Development and Bridal Education)
  • Freelance Program (150 hours): includes Express Beauty, Beauty Campaign Development, and Bridal Education
  • Multi-Media Program (200 hours): includes Express Beauty, Beauty Campaign Development, Bridal Education, and Editorial Education
  • Celebrity Program (150 hours): includes Celebrity Pro and Bridal Pro
If you know that you want to take multiple courses, we recommend a program as it saves you money.

Our Day and Weekend schedules are beginner-friendly while our Night schedule is for advanced artists only. On a Day and Weekend schedule, we offer Express Beauty, Beauty Campaign Development, Bridal Education, and Editorial Education. On a Night schedule, we offer Celebrity Pro and Bridal Pro.

These are the schedules that we follow:

  • Day: Monday-Thursday from 8AM-2PM
  • Night: Monday-Wednesday from 6PM-10PM
  • Weekend: Saturday & Sunday from 8AM-2PM

If you are a beginner makeup artist, we recommend our beginner-friendly schedules, which are our Day and Weekend schedules. On our Day and Weekend schedules, we offer an Express Beauty course, which provides you with everything you need to become a professional makeup artist. You will learn all the makeup fundamentals, 3 key client makeup looks, and receive the business knowledge needed to kickstart your career in makeup artistry. These schedules are perfect for beginners or for makeup artists looking for a technical refresher.

If you are a beginner makeup artist, we do not recommend our Night schedule as it is for advanced working makeup artists.

If you have makeup experience and are a working makeup artist, our Celebrity program is the best fit for you as this course is for advanced makeup artists and moves at an advanced pace.

If you are a makeup artist looking for a technical refresher, we recommend our Day and Weekend schedules.

AMA Artist Makeup Academy offers flexibility with payment plans. We have a $500 registration fee that is not included in tuition, and it is not-transferable and non-refundable. Once the $500 fee is paid to reserve your seat for class, tuition can be paid how you wish in terms of payment and frequency amounts. The one requirement is that your full tuition must be paid in full two weeks before your course/program ends.

AMA Artist Makeup Academy cannot guarantee job placements. However, we have a private AMA Alumni Group of 200+ makeup artists that share job opportunities and the latest news in the industry. It is a great way to network within the AMA family!

AMA Artist Makeup Academy provides a certificate of completion after you complete your course(s) or program. We are the only makeup academy that provides a graduation ceremony as we truly believe makeup artistry is a career, and it is milestone that deserves to be celebrated with family and friends.

Yes! Most brands require 100+ hours of education in order to receive a pro-discount, however, there are a few brands that do accept 50 hours.
